Fenwick English School

Fenwick English School

English for work and study, in small groups or one-to-one.

Ten-week terms

Four levels from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced. Structured progression with clear outcomes: speaking confidence in meetings, professional writing in emails and reports, exam readiness.

Groups of eight

Small enough that you speak every lesson. Large enough for real conversation and peer learning. No hiding at the back of a crowded room.

In person and online

Choose what fits your life. Both formats deliver the same instruction, the same speaking practice, the same accountability to results.

One-to-one available

Intensive business English or exam prep on your schedule. Focused on your specific workplace, your industry, your exam date.

Who studies here

Most of our students are working professionals sharpening their English for the office. Some are preparing for a promotion or a move to an English-speaking role. Others are training for a recognised exam: IELTS, Cambridge FCE, or CAE.

All of them have the same thing in common: they need English that actually works. Not app English. Not exam-room English alone. English for meetings, for emails that land, for confidence in real conversation.

That is what we teach.

How a term works

Choose your level

Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, or Advanced. Check the timetable to see which classes are running and which have places left.

Book your slot

Once a week for ten weeks. Same day, same time. Consistency builds fluency. Choose an in-person or online class to fit your schedule.

Show up and speak

In small groups of up to eight, speaking gets priority. We cover grammar, vocabulary and writing, but the focus is always on confidence and clarity in real conversation.

Progress to the next level

After ten weeks, move up to the next level or continue where you are. Clear structure means clear progress. If you are preparing for an exam, your teacher will tell you when you are ready.

Summer intensive

July and August

For students with concentrated time to progress quickly. Two or three hours a week instead of one. Faster-paced, higher intensity, same small-group focus on speaking and real outcomes.

The summer intensive is ideal if you are preparing for an exam in autumn, moving for a job in September, or simply want to accelerate your progress across one summer.

Check the timetable in May for summer class schedules and availability.

Next steps

Check the timetable to see which classes are running, your level options, and how many places are left in each group.

When you have found a class that fits, go to the contact form to book your place. You can also arrange a one-to-one consultation, ask about exam preparation, or enquire about summer intensive spaces — use the same form.

All enquiries are answered within one working day.
